Scott Richard Kallas, age 44, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on July 9, 1968, in Berlin to Richard and Dianne (Lee) Kallas. Scott graduated from Omro High School in 1986 and went to work with his dad at Vinton Construction Company for many years. He was a member of Laborer's Local #330. He worked at various other jobs and was last at Keenline Conveyor. He took over his dad's garden and harvested and sold vegetables for the last six years. He loved to fish, hunt, trap and sports.
Scott is survived by his mother, Dianne; his children, Hunter and Amanda; brothers, Daniel (Jodi) and Mark (Laurie) and his nieces and nephews, Mitchell, Logan, Ashlee and Olivia. He is further survived by his former wife and friend, Julie Kloehn, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, Richard, on February 5, 2007 and grandparents, Leland and Marion Lee and Ralph and Lucille Kallas.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Omro Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 8:00 p.m. with Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. A memorial is being established in Scott's name.
