Obituary

Selma L. "Sally" Wolverton, age 94, of Oshkosh, passed away February 8, 2008. She was born to Carl and Anna Krumbein of Fond du Lac, on July 9, 1913. She graduated from Fond du Lac High School, and was employed by Infant Socks of Fond du Lac for 7 years. She married Melville S. Wolverton on July 19, 1939 in Fond du Lac.

Selma was a member of The First Congregational Church in Oshkosh for 69 years; a Past member of The Oriental Chapter #46 Eastern Star. Her favorite things to do were, traveling, reading, crafts, crossword puzzles, card playing, watching Jeopardy, and she was an avid Packer fan. She especially loved entertaining her entire family in her home every Christmas Eve.

Selma is survived by son, Roger Wolverton, and daughter, Nadine (LeRoy) Hobart, both of Oshkosh. The proud grandmother to: Valerie (David) Gonzales of Gilbert, Arizona; Randy Wolverton of Denver, Colorado; Jeff (fiance Bonnie) Hobart of Redgranite; Steve (Jori) Hobart of Saxville; Cindy (Jim) Mathe of Oshkosh; and Shirley (Dan) Peppler of Oshkosh. She is further survived by great- grandchildren: Michael, Corey, Beau, Daniel, Ivy, Alex, John, Bryana, Kristina, Amanda, Kevin, and Bryan; great-great-grandchildren: Derek, Ashley, Emily, and Izabella; sister-in-law, Verna Krumbein of Fond du Lac; and by many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 49 years, Melville; brothers Al, Emil, Art and Wally; sisters Mart, Alma, Elsie, and Edith; granddaughter-in-law, Beth Hobart; and grandson-in-law, Mark Rydstrom.

Funeral services for Selma will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, Pastor Ralph DiBiasio-Snyder officiating. A time for sharing memories and support will be held at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Condolences may also be given online at www.seefeldfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to First Congregational Church in Oshkosh or the Aurora Visiting Nurses.

The family would like to thank the Visiting Nurses Association, Hospice, and the nurses at Aurora Medical Center for their wonderful and compassionate care given to our mother.
