Sheryl "Sherry" Wizner Bier, age 65, of Omro, died peacefully Wednesday, May 17, 2017 with her husband by her side. Sherry, the oldest child of Leo and Gene (Schrader) Wizner, grew up in Ripon, WI. After graduating from Ripon High School in 1970, Sherry attended interior design school for a brief time before returning to Ripon. She soon married Denny Bier, November 4, 1972. Opportunities led Sherry and Denny to Colorado in 1984. With daughters in tow, they made a life in the Rocky Mountains for over a decade before returning to Wisconsin to be closer to family and friends. Sherry enjoyed reading, crosswords and jigsaw puzzles. Her pastimes included cooking, sewing, nature drives and playing cards with friends. Her passion in life was raising her family and watching her grandchildren grow and thrive.Sherry leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Denny Bier; two daughters, Amy Prince and Kristi Bier; three grandchildren, Austin, Sheridan and Zac; her brother, Frank; brother-in-law, Doug; sister-in-law, Rita; best friend, Donna and many other close friends and relatives.A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017, at the Omro Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.The family would like to thank all their friends, family and especially the staff of Affinity Hospice for all the care, support and love shown Sherry.
