Sherry L. Koonce, age 50, of Neenah, died Thursday morning, December 6, 2007 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. Sherry was born on August 4, 1957, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Jane and William Cutting. She married Donnie Koonce on May 15, 1988. Sherry worked at The Watters Group in Appleton. She loved snow, traveling, nature, and dancing. Sherry was a giving person. Her passion was animals, often volunteering at the veterinarian's office to be with the animals.

Sherry is survived and will be missed by her husband, Donnie; step daughter, Jamie Leindecker; step granddaughter, Kelsie; her mother, Jane Shaw; her sisters, Gail (Bill) Hoffmann, Wendy Moran, Carmen (Jim) Johnson, and Roberta Cutting; her brothers, Glen (Eva) Diekmeier, Scott Cutting, Gary Cutting, Warren Cutting, and James Cutting; her in laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William Cutting; her brothers, Kenneth, Larry, and Robert Cutting; and foster parents, Irene and Harold Diekmeier.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the Omro Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the Funeral Service at 4:00 P.M., with Pastor Steve Cole officiating. A memorial is being established in her name. Sherry's family would like to thank the staff at Cherry Meadows for their care, and thanks to the friends and family that came to lend support to Sherry's final days.
