Stanley M. Kierszh, died with his family at his side at Mercy Medical Center on Saturday, March 22, 2008. He was born in Oshkosh to the late Steven and Nettie Kierszh on March 2, 1921. He grew up in Oshkosh, and on September 15, 1945 he married Dorothy Daubert.
Stanley was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish-St. Peter for many years. He received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for his service in WWII as a Staff Sergeant with the 315th Infantry in the European Theatre. Stanley loved sports, watching the Packers and his children and grandchildren play soccer, baseball, and basketball. He was a personable, gentle, loving, family man. He was a salesman for Diamond Salt for many years.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy; children: Michael (Karen) Kierszh, Julie (Eugene) Treichel, and Steven (Jean) Kierszh; grandchildren: Jeffery (Jenny) Kierszh, Bryan Kierszh, Kristin Treichel, Ross Treichel, Chloe Kierszh, and Chelsea Kierszh; great-grandchildren: Amber, Mia, and Ben Kierszh. He is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law: Edwin (Mary Jane) Daubert, Carol Daubert, and Robert Bauer. A grandchild, Charles Kierszh preceded him in death as well as his siblings: Mary Siewert, Helen Zentner, and his twin brother, Francis Kierszh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Most Blessed Sacrament-St. Peter Site, 435 High Avenue. A time of visiting and support will be held on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
