Steven G. Koss, Jr., age 68, of Omro, died peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday, May 30, 2008 after a lingering illness. Steven was born November 5, 1939 in Oshkosh, the son of Steven and Arcile Koss. He was educated in the Oshkosh School Systems and graduated from High School in 1957. Steven married Carol Paulsen on October 31, 1959 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oshkosh. This union was blessed with two children. He had worked for Rockwell International for 23 years, retiring in 1982. Steven always cherished the time he spent with family and friends. He loved living on Lake Butte Des Morts where he could enjoy boating and fishing.
Steven is survived, loved and will be missed by his wife, Carol; sons, daughter in laws, and grandchildren; Steven (Ann) Koss and their children, Adam and Josh; Jeffrey (Vickie Carpenter) Koss, and his children, Ashley and Jacob, and Vickie's daughter, Sheena; brothers and sister in laws, Robert (Nancy) Koss of Oshkosh, Dan (Elaine) Koss of Brookfield, WI; sister and brother in law, Juliane (Green) Wagner of Oshkosh; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister in law, Florence Koss.
In respect to Steven's memory, the family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the Omro Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m., until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Eric Quinney-Burnard officiating. He will be laid to rest in Omro Cemetery on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.
The family would like to thank Julie McHuge, Barb Wagner, Barb Anklam and all the staff from the home care agencies for the special care and devotion shown to Steven and the rest of his family.
