Steven O. Morris, age 88, of Oshkosh, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014, at the Centennial Inn in Oshkosh. Steve was born June 2, 1925, in Oshkosh, the son of Oscar and Elsie (Slater) Morris. He grew up in Oshkosh, was a graduate of Oshkosh High School and had worked with his father in the family business, The Morris Foundry. After that, Steve worked for a quite a few years at Lakeside Packaging where he finally retired at age 82. Steve was a very special person who had a deep love and respect for his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and often entertained everyone by telling great jokes. Steve was a true Packer Fan and also rooted for the Badgers, playing checkers, reading the Smithsonian Magazine and reading the WWF Wrestling Magazine.
Steve is loved and will be missed by his sisters, Geraldine (Gordon) Miller of Oshkosh, Marilyn (Vernon) Foust of Oshkosh; nieces and nephews, Penny (Burt) Schmidt of Oshkosh, Roger (Linda) Foust of Omro, Mac (Kathy) Foust of Sheboygan, Dawn (Mike) Bernier of Oshkosh; numerous grand nieces and nephews; other relatives and his extended family of friends and care takers at the Centennial Inn of Oshkosh.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at the Seefeld Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. with Chaplain Michael Williams officiating. Steve will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staffs of both The Centennial Inn and Asera Care Hospice for the excellent care, support and love given to Steve and the rest of his family.
