Steven C. Roe, age 38 of Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, June 10, 2009. He was born on January 16, 1971 to Robert and Jean (Futta) Roe. He grew up in Oshkosh and on May 11, 1996 he married Katie Dobbins. They have two children, Bethany and Ronnie.

A humble, kind, loving father with a good sense of humor: describes Steven. He loved taking his children to the cottage up north. There he enjoyed hunting, fishing and four wheeling. Steven was a truck mechanic and always hoped to someday finish his truck.

Surviving Steven are his children, Bethany and Ronnie; parents, Robert and Jean Roe; brother, Jeffrey (Tracy) Roe; aunt, Sally Roe; uncle, Robert (Shirley) Futta; best friend, Paul (Lisa) Philipp; and former wife, Katie. His grandparents preceded him in death: Floyd and Edna Roe and Elmer and Lora Futta.

A time of visitation for family and friends to share memories and support will be held at the funeral chapel on Sunday, June 14, 2009 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and again on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Funeral services for Steven will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, June 15, 2009 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, Reverend Jean B. Schmidt officiating. Though his smile is gone forever and his hand cannot touch, still we have so many memories of the one we love so much. His memory is our keepsake with which we'll never part, God has him in his keeping and we have him in our hearts.
