Theodore "Ted" F. Mathe, age 66, died at Omro Care Center on Sunday, January 31, 2010. He was born on January 8, 1944 to Theodore and Cecila (Spannbauer) Mathe. On November 12, 1966 he married Etta J. Milner.

Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, and living off the land. For many years he was employed as a truck driver for Vitran Express.

Surviving Ted is his wife of 43 years, Etta Mathe of Omro; sons: Theodore (Melinda) Mathe Jr. of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Michael (Tammy) Mathe of Berlin; daughters: Sueann (Richard) Silski of Omro, LindaLee (Sam) Nelson of Berlin, and April Mathe of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Audrey, Natalie, Maggie, Ashley, Jenny, Jessica, Troy, Adam, Jason, Elizabeth, and Trevor; sisters: Pat Bruley of Oshkosh and Dee (Paul) Cooper of Omro; sister-in-law, Marrian Mathe; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Ted was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Harold, Ralph, and Rudy.

A memorial service will be held for Ted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. A time for gathering and sharing memories will be held at the funeral chapel from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
