Thomas "Tom" J. Carpenter, age 45, passed away at home on October 27, 2023, in Neenah, Wisconsin. He was born on December 14, 1977, to parents, Steven and Debra (VanDensen) Carpenter, in Neenah, Wisconsin.
Tom grew up in Omro, Wisconsin, where his parents were active in the bus ministry at Wyldewood Baptist Church. As a young child, he accepted Christ as his personal Saviour. Tom was confident in his eternal destination because of his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9 and I John 5:13) He graduated from Wyldewood Christian School in 1995, and Pensacola Christian College with a bachelor's degree in computer science in 2000.
Tom loved traveling. A few of his memorable trips with his parents and brother's family were to the Grand Canyon and Washington D.C. Tom and Jaclyn also enjoyed their travels to Mackinac Island, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
He married Jaclyn Fletcher on November 12, 2011, in Waupaca, Wisconsin. They had known each other since childhood and reconnected as adults over the mutual enjoyment of motorcycles. God blessed them with two beautiful daughters, Cailie and Lillyanah, whom he adored. They especially enjoyed hugging, games, biking, and skiing. He also loved chocolate milk and wanted his daughters to drink as much "chocolatey milkity" as possible. Spending time playing and laughing with his girls, nieces, and nephews meant the world to him.
Tom most recently worked for Sargento Cheese in Hilbert, Wisconsin. He found great joy in being able to give out cheese to his family and friends. He also repurposed paper from work to print covers for Bibles for the ministry of Bearing Precious Seed (BPS). These covers were used on almost a million scriptures that were shipped around the world.
He had a deep passion for all things outdoors, especially riding motorcycles, skiing, and canoeing. Tom will be remembered for being kind-natured, diligent, and having a way of being able to make everyone laugh.
He is survived by his wife Jaclyn (Fletcher) Carpenter; daughters Cailie and Lillyanah Carpenter; father, Steven (Christine) Carpenter; brother Timothy (Star) Carpenter and their children Tomas, Isaiah, Justus, Zander, Xavier, and Quinn; sister Teresa (James) Daw and their children Zack, Elijah, Zoe, Elliot, and Emma; four brothers-in-law along with their wives and children; and many other extended family members and friends.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Debra (VanDensen) Carpenter; aunt, Diane VanDensen; and his grandparents.
Visitation will be held at Wyldewood Baptist Church, 3030 Witzel Ave, Oshkosh, WI, 54904, on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, and again on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 9:00am to 11:00am, with service to follow. Burial will take place at Rushford Cemetery, 4190 Rushford Ave, Omro, Wisconsin, 54963, at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up by the family for the children's education, as well as supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
