Obituary

Thomas "Tom" German, age 74, of New Holstein, Wisconsin, passed away on March 25, 2024, at his residence. He was born on December 15, 1949, in Oshkosh, WI. Thomas was a hardworking individual who never let his disability hinder his passion for farming and hauling milk. Despite facing muscular dystrophy, he persevered. Tom was known for his generosity and dedication to his work. He took pride in being a devoted father.

Tom attended Red School for primary education and later graduated from Oshkosh High School. He enjoyed taking road trips and engaging in political discussions in his free time.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth German; children, Suzanne (Yancey C.) German, Greg German and Dan (Rebecah) German; grandchildren, Keira, Bailey, Junior, Keanu and Aera; sister, Kathy (Randy W.) German; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his grandparents; mother; father; and parents-in-law.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 11:00am to 2:00pm with service to follow at Seefeld Funeral Home, 1025 Oregon St., Oshkosh, WI, 54902. A private burial will take place at New Elm Cemetery, Van Dyne, WI.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established to assist in covering his final cost at Homestead Nursing Home.

The family would like to thank the nurses and care staff at Homestead for all of their care and compassion they have shown during his stay and final transition.
