Obituary

Thomas "Tom" L. Oaks, age 39, died at home in Oshkosh surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 19, 2004, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Oshkosh on August 8, 1964 to George and Juanita (Rogers) Oaks Jr.
His memory will live on through his parents, George and Juanita Oaks of Oshkosh; brothers, Richard (Beth) Oaks of Park Falls, David Oaks of Oshkosh, George (Judy) Oaks III of Phillips and Gerald (Brenda) Oaks of Oshkosh; numerous nieces and nephews and a great-niece. His brother, Robert Oaks, preceded him in death.
Tom greatly enjoyed the outdoors - camping and hunting with his brothers. He loved animals and gardening and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Tom was a life long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He sang in the choir, played in the dart ball league and was active with the Pioneers. He loved his dog, Ebony, his companion for the past seven years. He will be remembered for his passion for helping others.
Visitation for Tom will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 338 N. Eagle Street, on Tuesday, March 23rd, beginning at 4:00 PM until the memorial ceremony at 7:00 PM led by the Reverend David Pagel. A memorial has been established in Tom's name.
Special thanks are extended to the Affinity Hospice organization, Pastor Pagel, all the members of Immanuel Lutheran Church along with our friends and neighbors who supported us with prayer and everyone who participated at the Tom Oaks Benefit. Seefeld Funeral and Cremation Services
