Obituary

Thomas E. Wright entered eternal glory with his Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 7th at Bethel Home in Oshkosh, WI, with his loving wife Joan at his side.

Tom was born on October 8, 1947 in Stoughton, WI, the son of Edmund and June (Joitel) Wright. He graduated from Rosendale High School in 1965. He entered the Air Force in 1967 and studied the Russian language at the Defense Language Institute at Syracuse University in NY. He served his country as a Russian interpreter in Italy and Alaska during the cold war.

He married Joan Sales, daughter of Roger and Doris Sales of Rosendale, in February of 1968. They celebrated the birth of their daughter Lisa Michelle in 1972.

After completing his Air Force career Tom graduated from the University of WI in 1973. He began a 27 year career with Parts Associates of Parma, Ohio. Tom and Joan moved to the Cleveland, Ohio area in 1986, when Tom became Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Parts Associates.

Tom was involved in an international student Christian ministry at Cleveland State University in the 1990's. After his retirement from Parts Associates in 2001, Tom formed a Ministry named International Friends. In 2007 he planted a church called Mosaic Church, an outreach to international students in Cleveland. He served as the pastor of Mosaic Church for over 10 years until his retirement in April of 2017.
Tom and Joan celebrated their 50th Anniversary just 6 weeks ago.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; his brothers, David (Carol) of FDL, Greg (MaryEllen) Delevan, WI, Steve (Beth) Oshkosh, Kevin (Laurel) Columbus, OH; and his sisters, Julie (Brett) Poquette, Oshkosh, and Janel (Paul) Rumbuc, Oshkosh.

Tom was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa (Bruce) Weaver; his parents, Ed and June Wright; and his sister Sonja (John) Macho of Oshkosh.

Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00am at Bethel Chapel, 225 N. Eagle Street, Oshkosh, WI, on Saturday, April 14th. The memorial service will take place at 11:00am, with Pastor Jeff Davis officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to Samaritan's Purse or Herb Veith Ministries to Orphans.

The family would like to thank Bethel Home for the compassionate and loving care they provided Tom in his last earthly journey to his heavenly home.
