Todd C. Sohr, age 49, of Oshkosh, died Thursday afternoon, May 13, 2010. Born on April 18, 1961 in Oshkosh to Charles and Roberta (Vaughn) Sohr, Todd owned and operated Finn Painting, specializing in residential buildings. He was formerly employed by Nova Counseling Services of Oshkosh.
A graduate of Oshkosh West High School, Todd later attended UW-Oshkosh. An artistic individual, Todd was known for his wildlife paintings. His love of the outdoors included his membership in the Big 10 Hunting Club. Todd was an advocate for the Near East Neighborhood at city council meetings, active with the City Sustainability Board, and had a passion for Lake Winnebago water quality.
Left to mourn Todd's passing are his three children, Chloe, Megan, and Sean Finnegan Sohr, and their mother, Chafta McCusker; his parents, Charles and Roberta Sohr of Oshkosh; a brother, Michael (Nancy Merrill) Sohr of Mesa, Arizona; a niece and three nephews, Jacqueline, Jason, Benjamin, and Jeremy Sohr; two aunts, Helen (Roger) Bintz of Green Bay and Beverly Sohr of Sheboygan Falls; and other relatives. Preceding Todd in death is his grandparents and two uncles, David Vaughn and Wayne Sohr.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. in Plymouth Congregational Church, 1325 Georgia Street, with Reverend Rick Hopkins and Jim Stadler officiating.
