Tubby Kubasta, age 75, passed away peacefully in her home in West Palm Beach, FL, with her kids, Susie and Jimmer on Monday, August 4, 2014. She was born in Rock Island, IL on January 1, 1939, the daughter of the late Rial and Nina (Hendrick) Welch. On September 21, 1957, she married James Kubasta at Algoma Blvd. United Methodist Church, in Oshkosh. Many will remember Tubby for her enthusiasm while coaching the youth in the sport of bowling for 30 years. She devoted her life to her family and friends, and will be dearly missed. Tubby was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-granny.
Tubby is survived by her children: Sue Kubasta of West Palm Beach and Jim (Brenda) Kubasta of Winneconne; grandchildren: Nicole Berndt, Justin Kubasta, Ashley Dworak, Jaime (Nick) Radloff, Alex Dworak and Jen Ritzert, Kyle (Katie) McCarty, and Keila McCarty; great-grandchildren: Mason, Peyton, Ashton and Rylan; brothers: Bill (Peggy) Welch and Rick (Judi) Welch; sisters: Wendy (Bruce) Hunter, Nina (Dave) Buch and Bev (Dave) Juedes; brother-in-law: Freddie (June) Kubasta; sister-in-law: Bev DeCarlo; and wonderful friends: Virginia Wendland, Sally Dixon, Steve Pascarella along with the entire East Coast Family, Dana Dennis and many friends from Canada.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy; her parents; and brother, Bobby Welch.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Seefeld Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.
Tubby had many special "Angels" in her life. Susie and Jimmer would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Egitto and the Palm Beach County Hospice-Sunflower team for their compassionate care. A special thank you to the wonderful friends in Florida over the last 24 years and the many neighbors who touched her life.
