Ursula L. Dittmer, age 85 of Oshkosh, died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Bethel Home. She was born July 31, 1923 in Oshkosh, to Siegfried and Lena (Balsum) Glassman. Ursula married Franklin Dittmer on November 30, 1940 and he preceded her in death on April 11, 1997. Ursula loved to crochet many afghans for her family, she also enjoyed swimming, golfing, puzzles and entertaining family.
Ursula is survived by her loving children: Franklin (Gail) Dittmer of Muskego, Randal (Cheryl) Dittmer of Montello, Kathy Dittmer of Oshkosh, Gwen (Doyce Warburton) Godard of Oshkosh, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and her siblings: Eric Glassman of Florida, Edith Lautenschlager of Oshkosh, Verginia (George) Munch of Wautoma and Clara (Donald) Oswald of Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a daughter, Susan Guetzkow.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Wednesday from 11:30a.m. to 1:00 p.m at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in Ursula's name be made to Bethel Home, 225 N. Eagle St., Oshkosh 54902.
