Obituary

Valores R. Schock, age 75, of Oshkosh, died Saturday morning, January 10, 2004. She was born on February 22, 1928 in Oshkosh, daughter of Harold and Amy (Stevens) Fonda. Valores married Clarence Schock on May 31, 1946 on Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1989.
Valores was employed by Bell Machine, Kings, SNC, and later by Christensen's. She was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church, former Church Council Member, and a member of: Out Reach Program, Pew Host Program, a Shut-in Visitor, and Care Ministry.
Survivors include two daughters: Paula-Rae Rost and Karrie Lynn (Michael) Suess both of Oshkosh; four grandchildren: Nicki L. (Brad) Laux, Jon A. (Kimberley) Rost, Beth A. (Daniel) Brusky, and Timothy J. "your buddy" Suess; five great-grandchildren: Jacob, Lawrence, Christopher, Zachary, and Katherine; one sister: Julieanna Ehrenberg of Oshkosh; four sisters-in-law: Evelyn (Victor) Raddatz of Oshkosh; Eleanor Mottl of Brookfield, Wisconsin; Betty (James) Wideman of Fremont; Pat Hazelwood of Oshkosh; two brothers-in-law: Kenneth Schock of Phoenix, Arizona; Lawrence (Gloria) Schock of Oshkosh; a cousin: Margaret Schock of Oshkosh.
Valores was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a son-in-law: Allan Rost; her mother-in-law: Katherine Schock; two sisters: twin-Dalores Adrian and Alberta Twentyman; two brothers: Carlisle and Robert Hazelwood; and a special cousin: Charles Richard Schock.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in Peace Lutheran Church, 240 West Ninth Ave., with Reverend David Skarsten officiating. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorials in Valores' memory to Peace Lutheran Church would be appreciated. A special thank-you from the family to Affinity Hospice-Visiting Nurses, especially Ellen, Mary, Barb, Sister Regina, and Patsy for their tender loving care of Valores.
