Vera E. Eder, age 97 of Oshkosh, died at Mercy Medical Center on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. She was born in Marshfield on November 23, 1912 to Melvin and Madge (Flannigan) LaPointe. On November 4, 1930 she married Louis John Eder. They enjoyed more than 51 years together until his death in April 1982.

Vera enjoyed painting, drawing and needlecraft. She also found time for crossword puzzles.

Surviving Vera are her daughters: Lois Ayers and Sandra (Jim) Gearhart; grandson, Steven Ayers; granddaughters: Dawn Lynch and Chris (Richard) Connors; and great-grandchildren: Alexis and Sandy Lynch, and Samantha Connors. In addition to her husband, Louis, Vera was preceded in death by her brothers: Russell, Carvel, Dale and Donald LaPointe; sister, Virginia Olson; and son-in-law, John Ayers.

Funeral services for Vera will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 19, 2010, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 N. Eagle Street. A time for visiting and sharing memories will be held at the funeral chapel on Friday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in the Township of Poygan.
