Verda E. Rankin, age 96, went home to be with her Lord on Friday afternoon, September 14, 2012. She was born October 10, 1915, the daughter of Orvel and Belle (Barker) Clough. Verda married Clarence Rankin in Omro on April 3, 1944. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1983. Throughout the years, Verda enjoyed reading and volunteering at the Omro Care Center. More importantly, she had and shared a deep love of her Lord, her church and her family. She always enjoyed spending time with family and also enjoyed her church work.

Verda is loved and will be missed by her children, Marlene (Gus) Fattal of California, Rosemary Schultz of Oshkosh and Betsy (Rich) Kuranda of Black Creek. She is further survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children, Donald Rankin and Blanche Deer and her brother, Bob Clough.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bernard Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the Omro Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Christine and the Staff at Sterling House in Neenah as well as AseraCare Hospice for the excellent care given to Verda.
