Vernette V. Kruschke, age 74, died Sunday morning, December 3, 2006 at the Omro Care Center. She was born on August 2, 1932 to Anton and Regina Zinda Kropidlowski in Sancher, Wisconsin. On July 10, 1959, she married Donald Kruschke. Together they made their home in the Shawano area. Vernette was an avid coin collector. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, and going to the casinos to try her luck at the slot machines.
She is survived and will be missed by her husband of 47 years, Donald; her children, William (Julie) Kruschke of Winneconne, Glenn Rodgers of Neenah, Gloria (Paul) Marsh of Neenah; grandchildren, Jason, Joey & Katie Marsh, Lindsay & Tia Kruschke, Richard, Jamie & Michael Kling; her sister, Marcene Last; brother, Alton (Barbara) McDonald; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Irmina and Irene Kropidlowski; brother in law, Norman Last; and her favorite dog, Tasha.
Visitation will be held at the Omro Funeral Home on Thursday, December 7, 2006 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Vernette's family would like to thank Aurora Hospital, Omro Care Center, Dr. Edward Lake and his staff, for the kind, exceptional care Vernette received.
