Vernon G. Keys, age 85, died June 23, 2012 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Vernon was born in Hawkins, Wisconsin on August 16, 1926, son of Edwin and Lucille Keys.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Constance; his children: Lucinda and Donald Giddings, Kenneth and Rose Keys, Larry and Barb Keys, Cheryl and Shaun O'Connell, Klaus and Jutta Hott; stepchildren: Todd and Brenda Schaefer, James and Christine Schaefer; grandchildren: Yvonne and Nathan Wilkinson, Ronald Davis, Robert and Korena Keys, Russell and Christina Keys, Jason and Robin O'Connell, Karen and David Roeske, Benjamin and Jessie Giddings, Stacey and Tony Farley, Daniel and Michaela Keys, Kenneth and Melissa Giddings, Abigail O'Connell and Michael Tritt, Karen Giddings; step-grandchildren: Sarah, Samuel, Benjamin, Simone, Harrison and Harmony Schaefer; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Devon, Morghan and Peyton O'Connell, Jacob and Hanna Wilkinson, Lilly, Benjamin and Kaylee Giddings, Kameron and Brock Wittrock, Cole, Kaylee, Rebecca and Ian Keys, Timothy and Michael Roeske.

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ila Mae Keys; brother, Durrell Keys; and step-grandson, Sebastian Schaefer.

Honoring Vern's wishes, a private family service will be held at Tony Cemetery.
