Vittoria Beregszazi of Oshkosh, died Sunday afternoon, April 24, 2011, at Bethel Home. Vittoria was born on September 7, 1915, in Naples, Italy, to Domenico and Maria (Degiovanniello) Colamonici. She married Louis J. Beregszazi on March 6, 1944, in Naples, Italy. Louis returned to the U.S. with his wife, Vittoria, and their first born, and settled on a farm near Fisk. Vittoria's husband, Louis, preceded her in death on March 22, 1985.
It was a joy to be in Vittoria's company. Her laugh was contagious and she had a loving disposition. Many relatives and friends enjoyed her excellent cooking, as well. Her strong faith and love of family was evident throughout her life.
Left to cherish her memory are five children, Julius (Gloria) Beregszazi of rural Oshkosh, Darlene (Bob) Lawler of Marinette, Tony (Barbara) Beregszazi of Fond du Lac, Bob (Debra) Beregszazi of Oshkosh, and Jeff (Jeanna) Beregszazi of rural Oshkosh; six grandchildren, Richard (Jenny) Beregszazi, Michelle (Rick Ziarnik) Klug, Trisha (Steve Beaudo) Lawler, Traci (Jeff Krejcarek) Paris, Daniel Beregszazi, and Caroline (Ezekiel Thomas) Beregszazi; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death is her husband, eight brothers and sisters, her parents, and a son, Roger Beregszazi.
A time of visiting and sharing of memories of Vittoria will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3343 Omro Road (Old Hwy 21), Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on Saturday, April 30, 2011, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The visitation will be followed by a brief service.
