Obituary

Wally O. Kemnitz, age 92, went to heaven to be reunited with his beloved wife, Rose, on Thursday, February 20, 2014. Wally was born in Oshkosh, WI on Sept. 2, 1921. He was a long time member of First English Lutheran Church where he served as church council president and director of several choirs. He belonged to the Oshkosh Kiwanis since 1969. He was elected to several local Kiwanis offices and served as the Kiwanis State Lt. Governor, receiving the distinguished award for each office he held. Wally was active in the Oshkosh community: Oshkosh PTA president, Apollo Male Chorus and United Way were a few of the organizations in which he participated. He worked at Radfords, Ye Meeting Place restaurant, Oshkosh Housing, and as a real estate agent. Wally was a veteran serving during WWII in the U. S. Army Air Forces.
Wally was predeceased by a twin daughter; his wife, Rose; his parents, Oscar and Emma (Neumann) Kemnitz; two sisters: Germaine Kulzich and Bernice Kemnitz; and one brother, Warren Kemnitz.
Wally will be greatly missed by his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Phil Bartels; daughter and son-in law, Pamela and John Stockbridge; two granddaughters; Jennifer (Geoffrey) Bogli, and Katherine (Paul) Green; six great-grandchildren: Abigail Bogli, Jackson Bogli, Paul Green Jr., Emily Green, Madeline Green and George Green.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Oshkosh, with his son-in–law, Pastor John Stockbridge officiating.
