Walter N. Kimball, age 78, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday morning, August 3, 2010 at Evergreen Retirement Community. Born on February 8, 1932 in Laona, Wisconsin, to George and Violetta (Lemke) Kimball, Walter married Marlene Moore on December 26, 1954 and later married Elenora Beahm on December 9, 1978 and she preceded him in death on May 23, 2003.
A graduate of Laona High School, Walter served his country with the U.S. Army. He was employed by Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac for 31 years. Walter enjoyed his time with family, hunting, and fishing.
Survivors include three children, Walter (Yvonne) Kimball Jr. of Markesan, Jean Marie Wielgosh of Oshkosh, and Ronald (Renee' Lynn Smith) Kimball of North Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren, Christopher (Crystal) Kimball, Elizabeth (Matt) Liese, Nicole Mata, Brooke (Ryan Quade) Wielgosh, Eddie Wielgosh, Julien Slefo, Cameron Croft, Kolbe Kimball, and Jason Beahm; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Delroy, Ken, Marilyn, Clara, Arlene, and Ila May; special friend, Sue Rumlow; step-daughter, Bonnie Rennert; and nieces and nephews. Preceding Walter in death is his parents; his wife, Ellie; and two brothers, George and Ernest.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, with Reverend Martin Ruge officiating. Entombment will follow at Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visitation and sharing of memories on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral chapel.
