Warren "Trey" Blue, age 40, of Oshkosh, died Monday afternoon, September 18, 2006 at his home. He was born on September 2, 1966 in New Haven, Connecticut to Warren H. G. Wells and Patricia G. Blue. Trey married Michelle D. Mayfield on January 24, 1991 in West Haven, Connecticut.
Trey was the U.S. National Gymnastic Champion in 1985 and 1987. In the early 1990's Trey worked in Atlanta, Georgia with Kids Gymnastics USA with inner city children. He also was their coach for the Exhibition Team, which performed at halftime for NBA Atlanta Hawks.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Blue; five daughters, Ryane, Tanner, Chayce, and Kharson Blue, Morgynn Venters; two sons, Brandon Brown, and Zachary Grey; his mother, Patricia Blue; five brothers, Leon Brown, Mike Burris, Anthony Blue, Tyrone Blue, and James Harding Jr.; three sisters, Annette Blue, Roxann Blue, and Delores Jones; his grandmother, Evangelist Mary Jones; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Melvin and Joanne Boykin; nieces and nephew, cousins and friends. Preceding Trey in death were his father, one sister, Nettie, and a nephew, Ty.
Memorial funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. A time of visitation and support will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
