Wayne E. "Chum" Dunham, age 64, of Winneconne and formerly of Oshkosh, passed away March 13, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 25, 1946, in Oshkosh to Leslie and Etta (Woodworth) Dunham, Wayne married Janice Riske in Oshkosh on March 9, 1968, at First English Lutheran Church. Janice preceded Wayne in death on September 16, 2006. Wayne was a very loving father to his three children and was especially fond of his seven grandchildren.
Employed by Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac as a machinist before retiring in 2006, Wayne enjoyed time spent bowling, playing cards, deer hunting, and fishing with family and friends. He was always there to help out his family and friends. Wayne was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.
Left to mourn Wayne's passing are two daughters, Kelly (Jeff) Langkau and Holly (Dan) Diley, both of Oshkosh; a son, Bradley Dunham of Oshkosh; seven grandchildren, Kristen, Branden, and Austen Langkau; Kyle and Amanda Diley; Michael Wuest, and Cassandra Dunham; a sister, Carol (Ron) Kentopp of Oshkosh; a brother-in-law, Carl (Phyllis) Anklam of Berlin; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Sally and Dave Kuehn, Butch and Barb Maloney; and a very special friend and partner, Marge Selig of Winneconne. Preceding Wayne in death is his wife, parents, a grandson, Michael Dunham, and a sister, Elaine Anklam.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Martin Ruge officiating. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral chapel. A memorial in Wayne's memory is being established by his family.
