Obituary

Wayne A. Hoehne, 71, of Florida, previously of Oshkosh, lost his 11 month battle with cancer on Sunday, November 15, 2009, with his family by his side. He was born on April 1, 1938 in Berlin, WI, a son of Al and Merle Hoehne.


Wayne retired from Mercury Marine after 35 years, became a snowbird for 5 years and a permanent resident of Florida in 2004, with his wife, Norma, where he enjoyed the sun, palm trees, golf, woodworking and time with his friends.


He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Norma, of 51 years; one daughter, Debra (Steve) VanGorder, of Fond du Lac; two grandchildren, Timothy Neubauer (fiance Becky McMahon), of Oshkosh, and Shelley (Jason) Doll, of Omro; two step grandchildren, Bryant and Ethan VanGorder; one great grandchild, Hunter Wayne Doll; one brother, Lee (Mert) Hoehne, of Oshkosh; one sister, Marilyn (Ken) Immel, of Larsen; two brother-in-laws, Dick (Millie) Kreager, of Omro, and Bob Kreager, of Florida; as well as nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Al and Merle Hoehne, and in-laws, Bill and Hazel Kreager, as well as his loving cat, George.


Memorial service for Wayne will take place at 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street.
