Wayne M. King, age 67, of Bristol, Wisconsin, died Saturday, January 23, 2010, at his home. Born on July 7, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa, Wayne married Gloria R. Schroeder on July 16, 1960 in Weyauwega, Wisconsin.


First employed by Pepsi-Cola, Wayne became the owner/operator of Appliance Store in Omro before moving to Madison to work in heating/refrigeration. Wayne and Gloria later moved to North Chicago, where Wayne was employed by the VA Hospital, as a Supervisor of Air Conditioning/Heating before retiring in 1997. During the Vietnam War, Wayne served in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.


Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Gloria King of Bristol; two sons, Anthony "Tony" (Karla) King of Oshkosh and Wayne (Nancy) King of Antioch, Illinois; two daughters, Julie (Andy) Ryan of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Connie (Larry) Tritt of Omro; eight grandchildren, Cody, Alex, Courtney, Matthew (Wendy), Ashley, Marshall, Erin (Cody), and Megan; one great-grandson, Caleb; three sisters, Phyllis (Edward) Riveria of Des Moines, Iowa, Donna Martin of Knoxville, Iowa, and Carla (Robert) Weist of Knoxville, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Wayne in death are his parents and an infant sister.
