Wayne A. MacFarlane, age 85, passed away July 14, 2015, at home with his family. Wayne was born, August 22, 1929, in Oshkosh, the son of the late Harry and Mamie (Smith) MacFarlane. He married Bernice M. Behm, September, 17, 1949, in West Bloomfield.
He loved to go fishing and hunting with his father, relatives, and friends. He also spent lots of time at his cabin near Rhinelander riding the ATV and snowmobiling. Wayne enjoyed doing things with his family, especially with his great-grandsons.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Bernice of Oshkosh; daughter, Patricia (Robert Miller) MacFarlane; a sister, Beatrice J. O'Brien of Morago, CA; and a step-brother, Thomas (Ann) MacFarlane of Lawrence, MI. Brothers and sisters-in-law, B. Orville (Joann) Behm of Oshkosh; Dennis (Millie) Behm of Oshkosh; Delmar (Joan) Behm of Fremont; Stanley Behm of Weyauwega; Beverly (Gary) Gensler of Weyauwega; and Larry (Sherry) Behm of Fremont. One granddaughter, Michelle Alvarado (Wade Pope); three great-grandsons, Anthony, Cory and Bryce (Brianna Ross); two great-grandchildren, Gavyn and Jaedah; special friend, Robyn, and other relatives and friends. Also his pet cat, Chubbs.
He was preceded by his parents and step-mother, Florence MacFarlane; father and mother-in-law, Alfred and Irene Behm; and brothers and sisters in-law, Roger Behm, Alfred Behm, Jr., Jack O'Brien and Beatrice and Arthur Schellar.
A visitation will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Seefeld Funeral Home, 1025 Oregon St., Oshkosh, until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Timothy Greenwald officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being establish at First English Church or Affinity Hospice. Family also wishes to thank Dr. Andrasko and Affinity Hospice for all their help and loving care.
