Wayne N. Remer, age 55, of Omro, died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 11, 2015. Wayne was born September 18, 1960, in Oshkosh, the son of Donald and Carol (Malson) Remer. He was educated in the Omro School System and was a 1978 graduate of Omro High School. Wayne loved the land and was a true farmer in every way. He enjoyed attending his children's school events and working on stock cars, farm equipment or anything with an engine. He was a partner in Remer Farms with his brother Larry. Wayne was an active and valued member for over 35 years of the Omro Rushford Fire Department serving as Assistant Chief for 8 years. He had a special place in his heart for his family, friends and any dog that crossed his path.
Wayne is loved and will be deeply missed by his children, Alex and Melissa; parents, Donald and Carol Remer of Omro; brother, Larry (Sandy) Remer of Omro; nieces and nephews, Amber, Emma and Jackson Remer; cousin, Dave Ruedinger; the mother of his children, Debra Remer; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 Madison Ave., Omro, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and then again on Monday, November 16, 2015 at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. William Hower and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Wayne will be laid to rest at Omro Cemetery. A memorial in his name is being established.
