Willetta M. "Willie" Ziebell, age 85, of Oshkosh, passed away with her family at her side at Mercy Medical Center on Friday, June 4, 2004. She was born on July 22, 1918 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Fred and Jane James. She married Albert Jule Ziebell on August 5, 1940 in Oshkosh. Willie greatly enjoyed playing cards, bowling, golf and time spent with her family was always precious.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Albert of Oshkosh; four sons, Jim, of Clear Lake, California, John (Donna) of Winneconne, Michael (Connie) of Oshkosh, Pete (Peggy) Ziebell of Gardnerville, Nevada; a daughter, Mary (Rick) Bowman of Oshkosh; a sister, Gen (Emmet) Below of Naples, Florida. She is also survived by wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Albert Jeffrey Ziebell; a sister, Ivy Kelly; a brother, Robert James.
Family and friends may call at the Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street on Monday, June 7, 2004 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at which time a family service will be held. A memorial fund is being established.
Willie's family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the third floor staff at Mercy Medical Center for the care and compassion given to Willie during her final journey.
