William N. Behling, age 90 of Oshkosh, died at Mercy Medical Center on Friday, July 22, 2011. He was born in Oshkosh on October 17, 1920 to Nicholas and Mary (Hunt) Behling. On August 14, 1947 he married Ellen Jane Morgan.
A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather; William was a generous and giving man. His grandchildren were the "apple of his eye." He was known as the "fix-it man," and worked for many years at Chellnors, at Metalist, and later as a carpenter.
Left to mourn William's death is his wife of 63 years, Ellen Behling; children, Barbara (Tom) Edwards and Deb (Al) Wilson; grandchildren: Christopher (Suzanne) Eichman, Andrew Wilson, and Kyle Wilson; and great-grandchildren: Alexis and Dalaney Eichman. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
