Obituary

William "Bill" Brunover of Oshkosh died peacefully at 7:55 Am on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Bethel Home. He was born July 29, 1913, the son of Alfred and Martha (Schoblaski) Brunover and lived his entire life in Oshkosh. On November 17, 1945 he married Madge Larson. He graduated from Oshkosh High School.
Mr. Brunover retired from the Buckstaff Company after 46 years of service. He started with the company in 1932 (in the factory) and progressed to manager of the accounting department. He then continued as administrative secretary for another 23 years. Bill was a charter member of the Buckstaff Employees Credit Union and served as treasurer for 25 years.
He attended Wesley United Methodist Church, served on the Board of Trustees and worked at the Ecumenical Food Pantry. He also volunteered at the Paine Arboretum. Bill bowled in the Sportsman's League for over 20 years and greatly enjoyed golfing and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Madge; daughter, Susan (Leon) Engler of Green Bay; grandchildren, Debra (Bob) Berns of Rhinelander, Jim (Debby) Engler of Menominee, Michigan, Bill (Connie) Engler and Mike Engler both of Green Bay; great-grandchildren, Brian and Bradley Berns, Greg, Jeff, Amie and Patrick Engler, Jessica and Joseph Engler, Alyssa Larscheid, Nikki and Casey Hermans; sisters-in-law, Lucille Larson, Ruth Larson and Lula Larson; nieces, nephews and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Maxine (Ray) Siewert, and brothers, Harold and Alfred Brunover.
Funeral services will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church, 761 Florida Avenue, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 21st, the Reverends Jean B. Schmidt and Mark Klaisner leading the event. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. A memorial has been established in Bill's name.
