William C. Ebel, age 65, of Oshkosh passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014. He was born in Oshkosh on June 30, 1949 the son of Robert and Valoyce (Duhm) Ebel. He was proud to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps during Viet Nam. Bill worked for Crown Cork and Seal as an "A" Mechanic for many years retiring in 2011. He will be remembered for having a good heart, and his dedication to his friends. Bill was a Life Member of Marine Corps League and United Veteran Honor Guard of Oshkosh.
Bill is survived by his mother, Valoyce; sister, Nancy (Bill) Ebel-Collum and their son, Bradley; brother, Robert Ebel and his daughter, Melissa Novak, and her son, Ethan; aunt, Mardell Meyer; uncle; Arthur Ebel; many cousins; and many good friends: Fred Rates, Butch Kuehl, Guy, Howie, Gordy, Bruce, and many others. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Carl Ebel, and his grandparents.
The family will have a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Lakeview Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh, followed by full military honors. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
