William D. Emnott, age 94, of Oshkosh, passed on Sunday morning, May 21, 2017, at home. He was born in Oshkosh on March 11, 1923, the son of Frank and Louise (Beck) Emnott. Bill graduated from Oshkosh High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he proudly served during WWII serving with PATSU in the South Pacific. He married Jean Emnott on April 7, 1951, at St. John Lutheran Church in Oshkosh and enjoyed over 66 years of marriage. He worked as a Meat Manager for various food stores and he loved fishing, working in the garden, and spending time with his loving wife. He enjoyed Friday Fish Fries at Wendt's on the Lake in Van Dyne.
Bill is survived by his loving wife and partner, Jean Emnott. They were blessed with two children, Mark (Tanya) Emnott and Susan Barth. Bill is further survived by three grandchildren through Mark: Kathrine, Jessica, and Angela Emnott; with three more through Susan: Jason (Kristy) Hart, Greg Barth, and Natalie (Brandon) Green. In addition, he was blessed with great-grandchildren through Jason: William, Joshua, Samuel; and through Natalie: Daniel, Buck, Mark, Jade, and Colt. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Marie Hoger and Olive Milles; brother Jack Emnott; brothers-in-law, Bert Hoger and Harold Milles; and sister-in-law, Faye (Baldwin) Emnott.
Visitation and funeral service will be for close friends and family on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Lake View Memorial Park.
