Obituary

William J. Fredin, age 78, of Oshkosh, formerly of Omro, died peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday, November 08, 2011. Bill was born August 20, 1933, in Antigo, Wisconsin, the son of Albert and Vernice (Nickolia) Fredin. He married Dulcia Moore in 1952 and she preceded him in death in 1972. He then met and married Barbara Schneider Stadler in 1976. Bill worked hard for 38 years as an institutional aide and retired from Winnebago Mental Health Hospital in Winnebago. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cutting firewood and was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church in Omro. Bill is best remembered for his love of gardening. He enjoyed taking care of his garden, growing vegetables for all, and kept his yard always looking itÂ's best.

Bill is loved and will be missed by his wife, Barbara; children, Michael (Paula) Fredin of New London, Carol Fredin of Oshkosh, Rebecca (Michael) Joubert of Oshkosh, Richard Fredin, Kenneth (Vicki) Stadler of Oshkosh and, Margaret (Keith Phelps) Stadler of Oshkosh. He is further survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave., Omro, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Richard Bartholomew officiating. Burial will follow in the Omro Cemetery. A memorial in lieu of flowers is being established. The family would like to thank Affinity VNA Hospice for their dedication and invaluable care.
