William E. Holst, age 86 of Oshkosh died Sunday, April 19, 2009 at his home. He was born October 29, 1922 to Mentor and Rosemary (Brunck) Holst. Bill married Angeline Rogers on February 8, 1947 in Oshkosh and she preceded him in death on June 21, 1991. Bill loved to fish with his friends and family and also enjoyed woodcarving in his spare time.

Bill is survived by his loving children: Nancy (Daniel) Wagner of Ripon, Linda (Jim) Cole of Fond du Lac, Sally Holst of Neenah, Gary Holst of Oshkosh, Daniel (Claudia) Holst of Whitewater, Timothy Holst of Oshkosh, and Julie (Paul) Nehring of Greenville; grandchildren: Leland, Courtney and Christal Wagner, Annalisa Suprenand, Ryan Zajicek, Holly, David and Bayli Nehring; and great-grandchildren: Aurora, Amber, Saralyn and Mitchel. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, parents and siblings.

Funeral services for Bill will take place at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Father William Van DeKreeke officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will take place at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00PM on Friday and from 10:00am until the time of the service.
