Bill Knepple passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Bill was born May 8, 1948 in Hancock, Michigan, the son of the late Frederick and Mona Knepple. Bill grew up in Appleton, and graduated from Appleton West High School in 1966. After graduation he moved to Oshkosh, where he raised his family. Over the years, Bill was employed by WG&R, Central Barrel and Drum and Oshkosh B'gosh. In the early 90's, Bill relocated to Tennessee, where he continued to work for Oshkosh B'gosh until his retirement. After retiring, Bill moved back to Oshkosh to be near his family.
Bill is survived by three children, Christy (Jay) Yearwood , of Oshkosh, James (Sara) Knepple of Omro and Amy (James) Knepple-Carney of Menasha; three grandchildren, Jarod Yearwood, Nona Knepple and Erick Knepple; a sister, Chris Stead of Appleton; a brother, Rich Knepple of Lake Linden, Michigan; several nieces, many friends and other family members.
Bill loved Nascar, collecting Hot Wheels, chatting with friends on Facebook, but most of all his grandchildren.
