William F. "Bill" Langkau, of Van Dyne, died at his home on Sunday, March 13, 2005. Bill was born August 9, 1934 to the late Leo and Mary (Jakubiak) Langkau.
Bill was a motorcycle lover who loved seeing the country. He enjoyed simple pleasures. He reflected often on his early life experiences with Go-Kart racing and customizing cars. His reputation as a perfectionist led him to provide motorcycle tune-up services for friends and associates. A good day for him was getting on his motorcycle and waiting until he was at the end of the driveway to decide which way to go. He retired from Rockwell at an early age.
Bill is survived by: his children, Debbie Langkau of Chicago, Len (Michelle) Langkau of Minneapolis, Beth (Patrick) Amacher of West Bend, and Sarah (Kurt) Ebert of Black Creek; grandchildren, Emily Neyhard of Oshkosh; and Aaron and Hannah Ebert of Black Creek. Further surviving Bill are his brothers and sisters: Leo R. (special friend Carol Stewart) Langkau, Mrs. Barbara Olejnik, Mary Ann (Thomas) Figel, Mrs. Ruth Mitchell, and Joseph C. (Judy) Langkau; and many nieces and nephews. Siblings: Kathleen, Leonard, and Richard Langkau preceded him in death.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Gathering from 4 until 8 P.M. on Friday, March 18, 2005 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street.
