William "Bill" A. Prasse, age 91, passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 8, 2021. He was born in New York on October 20, 1930, the son of the late Wilbert and Eula "Judy" (Ackley) Prasse. On February 2, 1952 he married Jean Saarinen in Houghton, MI. She preceded him in death in 2005. Bill graduated from Michigan Technological University, earning a degree in mechanical engineering. In 1979 he moved to Oshkosh and worked for and retired from Mercury Marine. Bill enjoyed sailing on Lake Winnebago, golfing, reading and traveling. He was known to fix anything and make it do what it was supposed to do. Bill will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, dry sense of humor, and the love he had for his family.

Bill is survived by his daughters: Karen (Jack Archibald) Prasse, Judy (Paul) Borrell, Patty (Ken) Meyers, Sue (Stan) Novotny and Tina Prasse; grandchildren: Jean (Eric) Hayes, Clara (Snnahill) Borrell-Tripathi and Maddie (Joe) Cutler; great-grandchildren: Dan, Emma and Henry; brother, Jonathan (Jane) Prasse; and former spouse and traveling partner, Benita Prasse. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; his parents; and brother, Richard Prasse.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 110 Church Ave., Oshkosh, with Rev. Deb Swets officiating. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Bill's name is being established.
