William W. Reeve age 79 of Oshkosh, died August 7, 2009. He was born October 23, 1929, the son of Charles W. and Mary Jane (Jones) Reeve. He married Ramelle C. Allen on August 14, 1954. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Daniel Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ramelle; his children: Ruth Ann Bender of Oshkosh, Lynn Brown of Oshkosh, Susan (Terry) Wilson of Elizabeth, Colorado, Kathryn (James) Stearns of Oshkosh and Mark (Rosemary) Reeve of New Lisbon; 11 grandchildren: Kevin (Laurie) Staerkel, Mandi (Erik) Black, Courtney Bohler, Rebecca (John) Wendorf, Kyle Brown, Stephanie Wilson, Joshua (Amanda) Stearns, Jason Stearns, Amy Stearns, Charles and Elizabeth Reeve; and 8 great-grandchildren: Shane, Alaina, Ella, Elise, Kaydence, Christopher, Luke and Danica. He is further survived by his sisters: Jane (James) Hardt of Naples, Florida, Mary (Richard) Tice of Clintonville, and Martha (Roger) Quam of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Bill was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church of Oshkosh. Being a man of few words he shared Christ's love by serving his church as a trustee, financial secretary and behind-the-scenes handyman. Choosing to draw upon his rich Welsh musical heritage, he ministered to many for over 60 years. He and his wife faithfully served the residents of Bethel Home's "Friday Bible Club" in music and scripture for 23 years. He also served the community for over 10 years as a volunteer driver for the American Red Cross.
Bill served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Engineering and was an electrical design engineer for over 30 years with SNC Manufacturing of Oshkosh until his retirement.
A memorial service will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church of Oshkosh, 1325 Georgia Street, on Saturday, August 15th at 2:00 P.M. A time of gathering will be held at the church from 12:30 P.M. until the time of the service.
