William M. "Billy" Shew, age 61, of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013, after a lengthy illness. Bill was born in Oshkosh, on March 7, 1952, to Clifford and Angela (Janiak) Shew. He was educated in Oshkosh, then served in the U.S. Army. Bill enjoyed collecting coins and antiques, fishing, hunting, and gardening. He was a talented mechanic and wood worker. He loved his dogs, especially "Murdock".

Bill is survived by his mother, Angela Shew; sisters, Geri (Ron) Stark of Appleton, Annette (Rick) Ellis of Paducah, KY, Kathy (Ron) Hayes of Oshkosh; brother, Jon (Shelly) Shew of Oshkosh; nieces, Kim, Lori, Lexi, Angela, and Mattie; nephews, Nathan, C.J. and Eric; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford; brother, Gene; and close friend, Gary.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (St. Peter Site), 449 High St., Oshkosh from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mathew Simonar officiating. Bill will be laid to rest at Lake View Memorial Park.
