Obituary

William J. Stutson, Sr., age 94, passed away at Bethel Home in Oshkosh on Monday, March 11, 2013. He was born in Milwaukee on June 24, 1918 the son of the late William G. and Sophie (Kaszubowski) Stutson. Bill was proud to serve in the U.S. Army from 1933 to 1942. On August 2, 1947 he married Marie Zoelle at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Milwaukee. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Bill worked as a district sales manager for Hostess for many years, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed fishing in his boat and loved to go out on the "Big Lake." He was also an avid gardener, known to be very good with a grill, and even smoked his own fish. Bill will be remembered for the love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his wife, Marie; children: Jim (Barb) Stutson of Neenah, Jean (Bill) King of Branson, MO; Kathy Schneider of Tomah; grandchildren: Brian (Emily) King and Brandon King, and Maria (Jon) Graf and David (special friend, Kayla) Schneider; and great-grandchildren: Alaina and Josalyn Graf. He was preceded in death by his son, William Jerome Stutson, Jr.; sister, Geraldine (John) Head; and infant brother, Jerome.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Peter Catholic Church, 435 High Ave., Oshkosh, with Fr. Bill Van De Kreeke officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh.

The family extends a special thank you to Affinity Hospice, and to nurses Jennifer and Melody at Bethel Home, who cared greatly for Bill.
