William O. Sypek, of Oshkosh, age 71, passed away with family by his side at Mercy Medical Center on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. He was born in Milwaukee on December 8, 1946, son of the late Malen and Marion (Davies) Sypek. Bill was proud to serve in the U.S. Navy. On May 23, 1970 he married Sharon Wroblewski in New London. Bill worked at Oshkosh Truck for several years and retired from Sara Lee in New London. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #1908 in Oshkosh. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Packer fan. He will be remembered for his laughter with family and friends.
Bill is survived by his daughters: Stacy (Robert) Weeks and Sarah (Keith Stern) Ochowicz; grandchildren: Amanda (Jake Farr) Ochowicz and Andrew "A.J." Ochowicz, Jr.; step-grandsons: Robert Weeks, JR. and Michael Weeks; great-grandson, Dannyl Farr; brother, Edward (Cindy) Sypek; sister, Debbie (Frank) Anderson; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon, in 1999; parents; and good friend, Katie Langlitz.
A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Seefeld Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
