William C. Wipf, age 72, of Omro, died Friday morning, July 1, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born December 22, 1943, in Stevens Point, WI, the son of Conrad and Virginia (Bracy) Wipf. Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #234. He had worked in sales over 30 years throughout the U.S. Bill had a quest for learning, in fact he never stopped learning. He enjoyed taking on line courses, reading history books and had a keen interest in Geology. Bill loved to travel far and near. He always brought rocks from his various destinations and had a rock from every county in the state of Wisconsin. Bill had a passion for jogging and often ran 15 or more miles per week preparing for his participation in various marathons and 5K runs. He enjoyed his time spent playing with his grandchildren.Bill is survived by three children, two daughters and one step-son; Beth (Trevor) Krueger, Jennell (Mike) Lindner, Robert Beck; grandchildren, Skylar Krueger, Cody and Camarolyn Beck; other survivors include his sister, Julie Nickolai; sister in law, Cyndi Wipf; nephew, Christopher (Elizabeth) Wipf; the mother of his children, Katie Giddings; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bob and infant brother, John.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at the Omro Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and then again on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, Oshkosh, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Military Honors will immediately follow the Mass.
