Wilma Irene Wilson, age 78, of Oshkosh, died Sunday, May 22, 2011, at West Allis Memorial Hospital. Born on June 10, 1932, in Oshkosh, Wilma married Eugene D. Wilson on August 26, 1950 in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on July 19, 2004.
During her work career, Wilma was employed at Paine Lumber Company and later at Fenestra and Oshkosh Architectural Door Company as an inspector until her retirement. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and formerly of Zion Lutheran Church. Wilma enjoyed time spent with her granddaughter and great-grandsons. Gardening, reading, cooking, and baking were favorite pass-times of Wilma's.
Survivors include a daughter, Patti Ann Wilson of Oshkosh; a son, Donald (Jane) Wilson of Tacoma, Washington; a granddaughter, Sarah (Darrin) Anderson of Oshkosh; a step-grandson, Tim (Caroline) Brown of Tacoma, Washington; a great-grandson, Jack Eugene Anderson; a sister, Gloria Jean (Leon) Klatt of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; two brothers, Henry Kromm Jr. and Floyd (Rose) Kromm, both of Oshkosh; and nieces and nephews. Preceding Wilma in death is her husband; her parents, Henry and Bessie Kromm, her birth mother, Josephine I. Kromm, a great-grandson, Henry Morgan Anderson; a brother, Richard Kromm; a sister-in-law, Lois Kromm; and a godchild and niece, Cheryl (Klatt) Pochkowski.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, 400 N. Sawyer Street, with Reverend Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Private family interment will follow the service. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
