Zula C. Chellow, age 95, of Omro, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, with her family by her side, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born in the Township of Omro on February 17, 1920, the second of four children, to Alvin P. and Cora M. (Converse) Shelton. She graduated from Omro High School in 1938. Zula married Arden E. Chellow on June 21, 1941. He preceded her in death on September 27, 2008. She was a dedicated wife, a devoted sister, a loving mother, a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. Zula was an excellent cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She also enjoyed ceramics, fishing, and traveling. She found joy in the simplest of things. Zula was a wonderful woman who lived a rich, long life filled with challenges, adventures, laughter, sorrow, and most of all, love. Survivors include a son, Robert (Marie) Chellow of Omro; a granddaughter, Amy (Dave) Chellow-Huberty of Omro; two great-granddaughters, Kyla and McKenna Huberty; and a sister, Arloa Doughty of Tucson, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, Lavina, and a brother, Malden. Private family services will be held with burial in the family cemetery.
